Heads of State Part II

In other interesting news Evo Morales was recently elected president of Bolivia. Mr. Morales received the strongest electoral mandate a president has received in Bolivia since 1960, winning 54% of the vote. Bolivia being a place where I have spent a significant amount of time, this particularly interests me. Mr. Morales is the former leader of the coca growers union and is the first non white/mestizo president of Bolivia. He is proud of his native Aymara indigenous roots and has pledged to legalize the production of coca and to nationalize all natural resources including Bolivia's natural gas reserves.

The Bush administration is set to staunchly oppose him, but this doesn't make sense....He's trying to legalize the plant which produces what "W" snorted while at Yale.

What he does in the ensuing months and years is up in the air, but what has particularly impressed me, as noted by the economist, is his high sense of fashion. In meetings with the King of Spain and Hu Jintao this past week Evo hung up the suit (actually he probably does not own one) and rocked the stripped sweater.... If Evo was a capitalist he would work at Google, I'm currently procuring a Evo Morales replica sweater.

Damn, you are all about the Latin American politics. Why don't you move down there and start your own dictatorship?
